I have struggled with a title for my blog and finally decided, that the photos are more about my journey through life. I am a photographer, therefore, I see things differently. This blog will be about how I see the world through my camera lens and the experiences that go along with the moment. Let me take you through the journey of my life through my camera lens.

Take them away
This morning I went to the beach to see the sun greet the day. What I was able to capture was not the sun rise I have photographed in the past but it was still an awesome feeling. As I stood on the beach with the waves crashing on the beach line, the wind rushing over my face, and listening to the gulls and waves, I got lost in the moment. The ocean has a way of taking all my worries and problems out to the deepest part to the ocean and bury them until I am ready to deal with them. Although I could have sat on the bench all day, I had miles to go before I could rest but, I left the beach very refreshed.

" I am proud of mom. "
May 20, 2012 was one of the biggest day of my life. My son, Jereme Lamb, surprised me by flying to Maine to see Mom walk across the stage and become a graduate. It was a fun time and very, very emotional. The best part of the graduation, besides the degree, was when I walked off the stage my adviser and two of my teachers were there to greet me and the rest of the business graduates. Instead of a handshake there were hugs and when I hugged my last teacher, Jereme was there to give me a hug and tell me, "I am proud of mom. Love you." It can not get any better than that.

Mother's Day
Mother's Day began with a walk on the beach. When I walked along the beach I saw the flip flops left behind in the sand and thought about how a mother would smile to see the child that fits these ran off to play in the sand. Then I saw a couple of sand constructions. With further examination the work on this sand castle was amazing. The builder took great pains to add their own style to the castle. Things only a mother would love.

Not being able to sleep late has it's advantages. This morning it was still raining and I could not think of what I wanted to photograph this morning on the way to my final day of college. I had the tv on listening to the news and weather and Channel 8 was out at Ft. Williams. Wow why not get the lighthouse in the rain? Camera in hand, umbrella in the car and I headed out. Thank you Mallory for allowing me to take your photo with the Portland Headlight Lighthouse in the background.

Dream
We all have dreams, whether it is to become the next
billionaire or to develop your own business. Some call their dreams goals,
either way you have something you want to work toward and achieve. My dream/goal is to show others the beauty I see
through my camera lens, by going to the beach to capture the sun rise. While taking photos it gives me a chance to relax and collect my energy for the day. This is the final week of college with finals and presentations all due and ready to bring the semester to an end for one more semester. My goal for this week is to stay calm and relaxed and not allow negative energy to get in the way of reaching that final goal of graduating.

May
May has gotten off to a rocky start but strangely enough it is working out. College will be ending this week and the finals will be here before I know it. I am getting my Mother's Day gift on the 16th in Boston. My son, Jereme will be flying into to be at my graduation on the 20th. He is an awesome son and surprised me last week with an email showing my his flight information. I cried and cried, and cried some more. This means the world to me to have him at my graduation. This is not only a time for me but he will be finishing his drafting class on the day he arrives. I am very proud of him. I go out and take photos not knowing how they are going to turn out until I get home and put them on the computer. This is what I did Sunday.
