Goal 3 reached

At the Blue Angels air show the Brazilian pilots put on an exciting and wonderful show. This was one of many preshows.

The Golden Knights made an appearance at the show also. There was a jumper with the Ranger flag and they all had smoke coming from their feet it appeared to me.

Once the Blue Angels were in flight the diamond partner was breath taking.

Yes there are two jets upside down and the announcer said they were only 18 inches apart. Yes my mouth dropped again.

The final fly by before touching down. This was a day that I smiled, I cried, I laughed, I was so happy to be able to see this wonderful show. Ever since I can remember I have wanted to see this air show and when I came to Maine I wanted to go to the show in at BNAS but was always working and could not make it. Once I found my photo buddy and both of us being adventurous we had talked about going to Boston, Whale Watching or the Air Show. There was no doubt what the answer would be, THE AIR SHOW, hands down. It was a long day but I look at all 1802 photos that I took that day and remember the rush and the wonderful time of making a dream come true. I have more things on my goal list and have decided to photograph the list since the majority of them can be photographed. Keep watching this fall for more photos. This was a wicked day for me.

Maine morning

I went out to Camp Ellis and walked out on the jetty a little to capture some of the morning sun after Hurricane Earl missed Maine.

Seeing the ballons being aired up was thrilling.

Once they had the hot air they were up in the sky ready for everyone on the ground to snap away and capture the moment.

The colors agains each other was beautiful.

I was so happy to be able to photograph the hot air balloons in Lewiston, Maine. I have dreamed of this all my life. When my friend, Francine and I walked toward the field and I saw the balloons having hot air pushed into them, I was like a child on Christmas morning opening presents. I began to snap and walked around to capture the best shot and totally lost Francine. We found each other soon and began to walk to another area.

It took a while to get the barn in the air but it finally made it and when it floated behind these two it was breath taking.

Then out of no where came this pretty pink balloon. The colors agains the morning sky was beautiful. If you get the chance to see a balloon launch take advantage of it you will not be sorry,I wasn't.

Hot Air Balloons

Jack's reflection as he floats off.

After Jack was filled with hot
air the glider plane came by
to buzz Jack. He stilll has a smile.

Jack is full of hot air.

The balloons were floating in the early
morning sky and it was so exciting
to see the balloons being filled
and floating around.

Beautiful balloons in the early
morning sky

Once they were filled with hot air
and floated up in the sky above me
I pointed my camera up
to capture it floating above me.

I was able to capture these balloons
as they were being filled and as they
either floated up or away.

When I was a little girl I dreamed and dreams were my friend. I was poor so I dreamed that I would have money to do fun things like going to see hot air balloons being launched and watch them float above me in the sky. Now that I am grown I have been able to fulfill some of my childhood dreams. This past weekend a friend and I went to Lewiston, Maine to watch these and other hot air balloons go up into the early morning Maine sky. I was like a child on Christmas morning opening her presents from Santa, as I watched the balloons be filled with hot air and float up into the sky above me.
Now to complete this dream and goal I need to ride in one. But for now one part of the goal is complete. I will ride in a hot air balloon soon. I promise you and me.
I hope you have enjoyed the balloons as much as I enjoyed capturing the beautiful balloons and experiencing this wonderful time.
Up, Up, and away in my beautiful balloonnnnnnn

Hot Air

This balloon was being prepared to launch and I
went up and poked my head and camera inside to get this photo.
I have wanted to do this for as long as I can remember.

I can only imagine how the people in this hot air balloon
feel as they are slowly lifting off the ground.

I took so many photos trying to capture
the right moment when the fire was going into the balloon and to
get the right flame. This was so much fun.

This was the Barn hot air balloon and I wanted to
capture the fire going into the balloon as it lifted off
the ground to float away. I was like a child on Christmas morning.

High School Seniors

When photographing high school seniors I ask them questions or just talk with them so they forget about my taking their photo. I can capture their true and natural expressions this way. I go to their location where they feel comfortable and relaxed.
Sun setting and low tide

As the flag waves in the ocean breeze gives me a warm and happy feeling to see those stars and stripes flow in the evening breeze.
Dream of setting in the chairs and enjoying the view is a wonderful way to the end of the day.
